Railtex 2011 will attract visitors from all areas of the UK Rail Industry, but three are likely to attract particular attention.

Rick Haythornthwaite, Chairman of Network Rail, will be attending on Tuesday 14 June. 

 

He will not only participate in the Grand Opening of Britain’s leading railway industry exhibition, but he will also be addressing the visitors in the first of the year’s keynote speeches as he presents his vision of the future of the nation’s rail infrastructure..

Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP, Secretary of State for Transport

 

Philip will share the Government’s latest thinking with visitors to Railtex on Wednesday as he speaks in the Railtex Seminar Theatre in the centre of the hall. 

 

 

 

Seminars - Thursday at 10.30am

Roy McNulty

Sir Roy McNulty, author of the Value For Money report on the state of British railways, will be speaking on Thursday 16 June. 

 

Two months after his final report is due, Sir Roy will be in a good position to expound on his views of the challenges that need to be faced over the coming years.
