Permanent Way Institution

The Permanent Way Institution has recently undergone a major reorganisation. It is a not for profit Institution for all engineers involved with track and infrastructure. We have a wealth of knowledge within our membership. Our updated focus for the future is to encourage the sharing of best practice between infrastructure staff at all levels and stages of their career. This new initiative is being actively supported by key players in the rail industry. The benefits of being a member of the PWI include on-line forums through our new website, quarterly journals, specialist textbooks on permanent way associated topics, and technical seminars as well as access to an extensive body of infrastructure knowledge and expertise.
